Ring of Honor Wrestling held their most recent card on Nov. 2 from Cincinnati, and while world champion Adam Cole had to miss the card because of a concussion, Jay Briscoe made his return. Here is a look at the ROH ‘The Golden Dream’ results and recap from last night.
The show opened with the news that whoever wins the Kevin Steen vs. Jay Briscoe match from this show would be added to the world title match at “Final Battle 2013.”
The show opened with one-half of the ROH tag team champions Bobby Fish in action against former WWE referee Mike Posey. Fish won the match. Fish’s tag team partner Kyle O’Reilly was in action next and beat Cory Hollis.
Michael Elgin was up next and beat Silas Young. The last match before intermission saw Davey Richards beat ACH in what was said to be an amazing match.
Jimmy Jacobs continues his road back to redemption and beat Roderick Strong. As a result of winning three matches in his return challenge, Jacobs has earned a shot at the ROH world championship in the future.
The ROH TV title was on the line next and Matt Taven beat Adam Page. After that match, Maria came out and said the TV title was below her fiancé Michael Bennett and he wanted a shot against Adam Cole and the world title.
In a triple threat match where the winner gets a shot at the ROH TV title, Tommaso Ciampa beat Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal. This match was for a TV title shot at “Final Battle 2013.”
Jay Lethal then beat Kevin Steen in the main event to earn a spot in the world title match at “Final Battle 2013.” Briscoe won after Maria distracted Steen and Briscoe hit a piledriver for the win. After the match, Adam Cole came out and he and Briscoe argued. Michael Elgin came out and attacked Briscoe and then, after chasing off Maria, Kevin Steen returned and package piledrove everyone he could get his hands on before saying he was coming after whoever left “Final Battle 2013” as the champion.
