The first two matches for “Glory by Honor XII” were announced in the past two weeks.
The first match is billed as the “Battle of the Piledrivers” as Michael Bennett battles Kevin Steen. This match comes after Bennett ended the career of BJ Whitmer when he botched a piledriver on the ring apron and injured Whitmer’s back. Kevin Steen is known for his package piledriver finishing move.
That match was set up when Bennett came out and attacked Steen at the Ring of Honor television taping following “Death Before Dishonor XI.”
The second match involves the returning Paul London to Ring of Honor Wrestling, as he comes back to face Roderick Strong at “Glory by Honor XII”
The new third match will be an eight-man tag team match that sees all champions involved, meaning there will be no title match at the show. This will see the all-heel champions Adam Cole (world title), Matt Taven (TV title) and reDRagon (tag team titles) battle Michael Elgin, Jay Lethal and C&C Wrestle Factory.
Ring of Honor “Glory by Honor XII” takes place on Oct. 26.
