ROHWorld.com reported on Jan. 16 that Ring of Honor Wrestling has announced the first four matches from its upcoming 11th anniversary pay-per-view event. Three of the matches are for titles and the fourth is a long-running grudge match.
The first match is for the Ring of Honor World Championship as Kevin Steen defends his title against former TNA Wrestling star Jay Lethal. This match is a huge blood feud between the two men, stemming from the last time Lethal got a chance at the title.
In that earlier match, Steen spit on Lethal's mother and Jay went psychotic. It all ended with Ring of Honor banning Lethal from any future world title shots as long as Steen is the champion. Luckily for Lethal, he approached Steen man-to-man and the champion caved in and gave him the shot.
The second match is for the World Tag Team Championship as the Briscoe Brothers put their titles on the line against the new heal tag team of Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly. Fish and O'Reilly have been feuding with the American Wolves and won a gauntlet match to pick up this title shot.
In the grudge match, Michael Elgin and Roddy Strong, the former members of the House of Truth will fight in a two-out-of-three falls match. Strong won last time they fought by using a foreign object. These men have been at each other's throats since they were in the same stable.
Finally, the fourth math announced is for the TV Championship and Adam Cole will defend his title against whoever wins the Top Prospect tournament currently underway. The four finalists in that tournament are QT Marshall, Tadarius Thomas, Silas Young and Matt Taven.
The Ring of Honor 11th Anniversary PPV will take place on March 2 in Chicago Ridge, IL.
