A diamond ring finder is suing the owner because she has not been given the $3,000 reward. Bonnie Land discovered the ring inside a tanning salon in Missouri on May 9, 2012. On Jan. 7 Yahoo! reported that the ring owner, Melissa Boucek, removed the ring while in a spray-on tanning room.
After Boucek realized she left the ring at the salon, she contacted salon employees who then contacted customers. However, Land wasn't notified because she no longer lived in the area.
When she came back to the store to return the ring on June. 8, she was taken into custody. Land claims she forgot about the ring and her intentions were always to return it.
Land, the finder of the two-carat yellow and white diamond ring, is now suing Boucek for $65,000 due to breach of contract. She says she never received the posted reward of $3,000.
However, she waited until the reward was posted to return the ring and authorities find this suspicious. Anyhow, we'll see how it turns out when the case is heard in a court of law.
