LeAnn Rimes cancels a show after falling ill and needing to take a trip to the emergency room. On Sept. 12, E! Online reported that the soon-to-be reality star canceled her Dublin concert because she was sick. The singer has been suffering from a viral infection for the past couple of weeks and she just can't kick it.
"Never thought I'd see the ER in Dublin. I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes," Rimes tweeted on Thursday. She has been spending a bit of time on the road this summer, hitting up various venues and singing all of her hits -- but touring has caught up to her.
After Rimes cancels her show, fans in the area found themselves wondering if she would be able to reschedule or if her sickness would have her off the road for a while. While she did take to her Twitter account to thank her fans, she hasn't made mention of a rescheduled tour date. "Thank you to all my fantastic, understanding, loving fans here in Ireland," she wrote. Later she added that the hotel brought her a dry-erase board because her doctor put her on "100% voice rest."
Rimes and her husband, Eddie Cibrian are set to star in a scripted reality show to air on VH-1. The couple seem to be following in the footsteps of Cibrian's ex-wife (and Rimes' nemesis) Brandy Glanville, a star on the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." What's good for the goose...
Although Rimes cancels a show here and there, that's normal. Many singers have to sit out at certain times because of strain on their voice. It's unknown if any of this will have been filmed for her new show.
