Rilakkuma, a relaxed little bear brings hours of fun

Have you ever seen a relaxed little bear? Rilakkuma is just that. In Japanese, this word, Rilakkuma, literally means relaxed little bear. This character from San-X Co brings a little piece of Japanese Anime to our toy shelves with Rilakkuma.

Rilakkuma appeared to a Japanese office worker. He arrived out of no where and really does nothing. His lack of constant activity is bothersome to his companion but she appreciates his occasion life advice. He encourages her and everyone else to lead a more relaxed life.

The biggest question about Rilakkuma why does he have a zipper on his back with a blue-polka dot cloth hidden inside. No one knows why or how this zipper and cloth came to be, but it adds to his whimsy and charm.

Kids like to play with Rilakkuma because they can imagine lots of different games and adventurous. Even though Rilakkuma stays at home relaxing, my kids believe that he sneaks away on crazy adventurous when we are out of the house. Sometimes they find treasures hidden in his zipper and cloth.

Rilakkuma is one of several characters produced by the San-X Co. San-X is one of the largest character oriented stationary and gift manufacturing company in Japan. Rilakkuma products are available at Hot Topic stores across America and FAO Schwarz in New York. Please visit the Hot Topic website to find a store near you.
