Rihanna was booed when she graced the stage 80 minutes late in the land down under on Thursday night. An Australian crowd thought Rihanna’s tardiness was nothing short of rude, according to USA Today, on Sept. 27.
This is becoming a pattern for the singer, who a few months back had a couple of U.S. concerts that she was late for. Rihanna needs to remember you’re only as great as your fans let you be and leaving a string of aggravated concert goers isn’t the publicity a star wants.
Some fans left before Rihanna took the stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. The singer was booed by the crowd as soon as she showed her face on stage. Her show on Tuesday night in Perth Australia also went off late. She kept the fans waiting for 40 minutes that night.
Rihanna kept true to form, as she did not offer up an apology or an explanation as to why she made her fans sit so long and wait for her. Luckily she’s on top of her game because once she started the show, that magical voice captivated the audience who seemed not to hold a grudge that Rihanna kept them waiting. They danced the night away as she crooned her top hits on stage.
