Rihanna’s new video for ‘Pour It Up’ debuted Wednesday (October 2) and has all ready been taken down.
The racy music video features the pop star and a twerk team fit enough to put Miley in her place. The women show off seductive moves on stripper poles set over a pool of water in a shadowy strip club. Rihanna is the queen of the sensual grotto, pictured on a gilded throne with an equally elaborate ensemble of lingerie and a curly blonde wig. The Bajan babe is also seen ‘throwing up’ Rihanna dollar bills.
The visual seems very authentic to a top notch strip club experience and people have taken notice. It has been set to private on Rihanna’s official Vevo channel. In response to tweets that the video has all ready been banned, the singer replied, 'IN TEN PH**KING MINUTES BRO?'
However, the singer is known for her creative and often controversial videos. In 2011, her video for ‘S&M’ was banned for its erotic content. ‘We Found Love’ won several awards for best music video a year later, but not before being banned for its depiction of drugs and violence. Despite the removal of ‘Pour It Up,’ which is sure to be temporary, Rihanna’s ‘Navy’ has shown an outpouring of support for the video.
After Vevo’s official Twitter account asked for the uncensored cut, Rihanna tweeted back, ‘I’ll have it right 2 U.’ She also tweeted, ‘Yassssss @ the #NAVY doe!!! Thank you for this love man!!!! I'm so glad you're enjoying it #PourItUpVideo.’ Until the video is back up, you can still check out the making of ‘Pour It Up’ video or the exotic dancer auditions also featured on Rihanna’s Youtube channel.
