After performing “Stay” with Mikky Ekko at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, pop star Rihanna unveiled the haunting ballad's music video. In the simplistic clip, she seen stripped and vulnerable in bathtub.
“Stay” is the latest single from Rihanna's “Unapologetic” album. Ekko co-wrote and is featured on the heartbreaking slow song, but he is missing-in-action during music video. Director Sophie Muller instead features solely Rihanna in a bathtub. The Barbarbian singer is stripped bare as she reflects in the water. Muller provides intimate close-up shots of Rihanna with the track playing in the background. The simplicity of the clip really captures the sadness behind her eyes. We want him to stay too, Rih.
The “Stay” music video is a departure from the lavish clips Rihanna has released in the past, including the Grammy-winning “We Found Love.” Ekko recently released the music video for his own song, “Pull Me Down.” Her “Unapologetic” album hit no. 1 on Billboard back in November.
