Mikky Ekko got the interest of fans on Sunday night during the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. The entertainer didn't have a solo performance, but the fans saw him sing with Rihanna when she took the stage to perform Stay. One of the slower songs of the evening, it was also a moment when fans pondered who was this entertainer that wasn't properly introduced for the performance.
Mikky Ekko definitely had the vocals to keep up with Rihanna during the performance. Giving Stay a male voice that blended perfect with the performer, there wasn’t any doubt he was a perfect choice. However on stage during the performance, it appeared he was almost pushed to the side and that is what made the moment so intriguing.
While Stay will no doubt do well in radio play, it is Mikky Ekko that got the biggest boost at the Grammys on Sunday night. Not only did he perform beautifully, he gave everyone a reason to reach for his music and Rihanna’s too.
