Wow, wow, wow ! Singer Rihanna had all eyes on her when she walked the red carpet at the CFDA Awards 2014 in New York on June 2, 2014. The event was held at the Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center according to Just Jared.

Talk about over-the-top and see through the top, bottom and everywhere else. Rihanna chose an elaborate and highly embellished design by Adam Selman to attend the event. Selman is her costume designer and he also has his own line. Her look consisted of a completely see through mesh gown, headscarf and gloves covered in 216,000 Swarovski crystals. She wore a tiny G-string underneath. Dramatic double round drop earrings with a smokey center stone played beautifully with her smokey eye color which was the focus of her makeup. She chose a nude lip which was in keeping with the color of her gown. The entire ensemble was capped off with a feminine peach colored fox stole with end tails.

Rihanna was selected to receive the Fashion Icon Award at this year's event. What makes Rihanna a good choice for the award is that she is a risk taker who has a real edge when it comes to selecting designs. While not everyone loves her look most would agree that it is interesting and quite theatrical. Adam Selman is not a familiar name to most people however his pieces are worth checking out.

Congrats go out to the always sexy and lovely Rihanna for her selection as Fashion Icon for this year.
