Rihanna's is known for her love of body art and she has now expanded her personal collection of more than 20 tattoos by one more tat and it's not a small one. According to the January 12 issue of MusicNews she was spotted making another late night visit to her favorite tattoo artist in Manhattan, Bang Bang. She took time deciding on placement and once she made up her mind settled on a large ornate cross tattoo surrounded by designs for her left wrist.

Rihanna's fascination with tattoos is no secret. Rihanna visited the studio around midnight and was there for 5 hours. The star wore an edgy black jacket, smart white blouse and an eclectic choice of arm candy, a number of rings, and long sparkly nails. First she had to make up her mind on placement. Where would she add the new ink? Once she decided on her inner wrist, she took her time looking at possible designs. She made a selection and visited the chair one more time for several hours. She left the shop around 5:00 a.m.

Rihanna admits being intrigued by tattoos

Rihanna's fav tattoo artist, Bang Bang, tweeted a photo of the star's latest tattoo showing a gigantic cross on her inner left wrist. She was later seen admiring her new ink. The fresh tattoo complements the existing tribal design on her right hand and wrist.

"I like hanging out in tattoo shops. I am so intrigued by tattoos. It’s an entire culture, and I study it. Sometimes I go with friends, or just by myself. I get bum-rushed, but I don’t care. I don’t take security." – Rihanna via UK OMG

With this love of tattoos and her history of getting inked, one has to wonder if this tattoo is just the beginning of the bodyart she has in mind for her left hand and arm. Only time will tell. What do you think of Rihanna's latest ink?
