Rihanna ignores Brown: Katy Perry not as friendly with Rihanna these days (Video)

Recent reports that Rihanna ignores Brown come just as there's rumors that Katy Perry is not as friendly with her female singing friend. Apparently the reunion of Chris Brown and Rihanna romantically has led to Katy not being as "tight" with her pal.

According to ABC News, an inside source close to the matter said that, "They aren't tight anymore because Katy doesn't approve of Rihanna dating Chris." Chris and Rihanna were a couple years ago but once a domestic assault occurred in Brown's car the night before the Grammys, things changed. Brown was sentenced to probation for the assault, and the couple split, which many showed support for Rihanna over. However, in the more recent years the two started being more friendly and even recording songs together.

Fast forward to the Grammy Awards 2013 ceremony, and Chris Brown and Rihanna were back together looking quite happy in the crowd. However, as it was noted, Katy Perry was nowhere near her friend, like they usually were in past years. Instead, she sat in a separate part of the audience with current boyfriend, John Mayer. However, there's been rumors that maybe Rihanna isn't OK with Mayer, a known womanizer. Rihanna dismissed that notion when talking to Rolling Stone mag, saying "I could never give relationship to anybody," and adding that her friend could date whoever she wants.

As of this report, Katy Perry hasn't commented herself on the relationship, but it looks like she just isn't happy with her friend. It could very well be part of the reason that Rihanna ignored Chris Brown in the early hours of Friday morning as the two were spotted at the same club in Hollywood, only not really hanging all over each other. In fact, it seemed Rihanna was distancing herself from Brown. Could Katy Perry have been part of her motives, or were the two hip hop stars simply having another argument?

Currently, Rihanna ranks up there on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her song "Diamonds" at #18, while her album "Unapologetic" sits at #17 on the Billboard 200 chart. She was nominated for several Grammy Awards and won one award for her song "We Found Love" featuring Calvin Harris.
