Rihanna has come down with laryngitis. She cancelled “Diamonds World Tour” date set for Boston, Mass. US Weekly reported on March 10 that the pop singer was forced to cancel her Boston date after contracting the illness. Rihanna was scheduled to perform at the TD Garden.
Live Nation released a statement about the singer’s illness this morning. They said that she’s unable to perform with her recent bout with laryngitis. Even though the concert was sold out, she was forced to cancel. The pop star will reschedule her Boston performance for a later date.
Rihanna kicked off her “World Diamonds Tour” on Friday. She opened her tour in Buffalo, New York. She’s also set to perform in Baltimore, New York on March 12.
Fans wonder if the singer is working too hard. Rumors swirled that she could take a year-long break after her world tour. She also wants to settle down with boyfriend Chris Brown.
Rihanna didn’t make any comments about her Boston concert today on Twitter. Instead, she thanked her fans for their support. It’s not certain what Rihanna was exactly happy about, but she appeared to be in good spirits.
