Rihanna is revealing a preview of her long-awaited collection for UK clothing line River Island. The 24-year-old pop star explains, "I have wanted to design my own fashion label for a very long time. This has been something I wanted to do ever since I started loving fashion. Every time I saw something on a rack there was something I wanted to do to change it and so I thought that the only way I could do that is by designing the perfect thing for me."
Targeting "sassy young personalities", the eclectic collection includes swimwear, jumpsuits, and very "RiRi" pieces. Labeled by the singer as "casual, chic and flirty" and for "all different body types", the collection goes on sale March 5th and will be unveiled at London Fashion Week with a full catwalk show and after party, natch. "I wanted all types of girls to be able to wear this and feel comfortable but edgy," she said. "I wanted there to be character within the clothes, but without it trying too hard. It's just simple."
