Rihanna, one of the biggest fashionistas in the music industry, graces the coveted cover of American Vogue, and for the April "Shape" Issue, she gets candid about body image and family problems.
While talking to Vogue, the redheaded megastar admits to a problem that many women can identify with, body issues. It is hard to believe that the woman that has topped so many “Perfect Beach Body” lists once struggled with body image issues, but the singer tells the magazine it was not until recently she had started embracing her physique.
“Over the holidays, and even during filming, I realized that I actually like my body, even if it's not perfect according to the book. I just feel sexy."
In an industry full of pressures to be skinny, the youngest black woman to ever appear on U.S. Vogue has finally started being proud of her curves. "For the first time, I don't want to get rid of the curves. I just want to tone it up,” the superstar adds, "My body is comfortable, and it's not unhealthy, so I'm going to rock with it."

While all is good in the self-esteem department, the family part of her life could be better. The “Loud” singer reveals the relationship with her father, since the infamous assault incident between her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, has been non-existent. Rihanna 23, talks about how she felt about her father selling information to the tabloids.
“You hear the horror stories about people going behind people's backs and doing strange things, but you always think, Not my family. My father would never do that to me.”
Ronald Fenty, RiRi's dad, went to the press with and cashed in on his daughters misfortune after she was attacked. "My dad went to the press and just told them a bunch of lies," the "What's My Name?" performer adds, "He never called to find out how I was doing, if I was alive, nothing. He just never called. He went straight to the press and got a check."
This is not the first time the Barbados native has sounded off about her father. In interviews she has voiced the physical abuse he put mother through, recalling her mother having a black eye, and even a broken nose.
