Rihanna has canceled a concert for Sunday in Boston. The “Man Down” singer was recently diagnosed with laryngitis, and she is unable to perform, on advice from her doctor, says a Sunday, March 10 report from TMZ.
Rihanna was scheduled for the TD Garden arena in Boston, but as of this morning, the show is off. Live Nation promoters have announced that the show will be rescheduled for a later date. Live Nation said in a statement “Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening.”
The ticketholders of Tuesday’s show in nearby Baltimore are more interested in the future, and as of now there are no plans to postpone that show. Laryngitis generally clears up in a few days, with proper rest, but it can easily last two weeks or even become chronic. The condition is an inflammation of the larynx, or voice box, and it can be a serious hazard to a singer’s career.
Fans hope Rihanna will soon be in full voice.
