Rihanna was allegedly assaulted by a fan outside of a London nightclub early Sunday because of her reunion with Chris Brown, according to a report first posted by TMZ.
Rihanna was leaving a club called The Box with her best friend Melissa Forde and British fashion model Cara Develingne when someone threw a bottle of Lucozade (a UK energy drink) in her direction. The bottle didn't connect, but she allegedly scraped her knee during the commotion when she brushed up against a metal shop grate.
The man, who has not been identified, began screaming at the superstar for rekindling a romance with Brown, the fellow singer who infamously beat her on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards.
Her bodyguard also injured his leg amid the chaos and had to be taken to a hospital for treatment, according to local reports.
Rihanna, who turns 25 on Wednesday, didn’t mention the incident when she took to Twitter after returning to her hotel room and finding herself featured on the front page of The Sunday Times of London.
Rihanna has said several times in interviews that Chris Brown has changed (except in that fight with Drake a few weeks ago) and she's ready to take any backlash that comes with being with him again.
