In his second fight as a pro, Julian Rodriguez faced off against against Ryan Picou in a bout that allowed the 18-year Rodriguez to showcase his talents and work on a few things that need improvement.
Picou was not push over, after being dominated by Rodriguez's speed in the first round, Picou made a bit of a comeback in the second round, stepping his game up and landing a few combination of himself, but nothing hurt or seemed to bothered him.
In the third round, Rodriguez showed off his superiors skills by using his speed and accuracy to outland and outwork Picou, he seemed to be gassed out at this point. The rally Picou had in the second round seemed to be all that he had in the tank and Rodriguez and his corner seemed to notice this as well.
Although Rodriguez landed several heavy combination on Picou, both to the body and the head, he was never able to drop the Las Vegas native Picou. Picou made it the end of the fight, given that it was only a four rounder, and Rodriguez won a clear and easy unanimous decision.
With the win, Rodriguez improves his young record to 2-0, while Picou sees his own go to 0-2.
