Right wing Christian fundamentalist brings terror to Norway

Proving that Islam does not have a monopoly on religious terrorism, right wing Christian fundamentalist Anders Behring Breivik brought terror to Norway Friday.

Breivik is reported to be responsible for a car bomb explosion that ripped through government buildings in Oslo killing seven people before going on a shooting rampage at a youth camp, killing an additional 85 individuals, many of the victims only children.

Evidence is mounting that Breivik was a right wing Islamophobe and a conservative Christian. In his online writings Breivik compared Muslims to Nazis, expressed contempt for multi-culturalism and religious tolerance, and strongly identified himself as a Christian conservative.

Breivik was a fan of Tea Party darling Pamela Geller's rabid, anti-Islam website Atlas Shrugs, and made frequent comments there. Indeed Breivik's irrational fear and hatred of Islam and marxism, coupled with his Christian fundamentalism, makes him an ideological twin to many of the most dangerous members of the American Tea Party.

While Norway recovers from unspeakable tragedy, one thing is certain: Religious terrorism, be it Christian or Muslim or some other sect, is a threat to all.
