A cheating man’s mistress can ruin his life in ways he can’t even begin to imagine.
The 3 mistresses below recently made front page news by ruining their high profile lover’s lives in very different, and unexpected ways.
John Edwards, Mark Sanford, and Steve Phillips found out the hard way, what kind of damage a cheating man’s mistress can do.

Rielle Hunter
Rielle Hunter had her sights set on meeting and attaching herself to someone famous, so that by association, she would become famous, too. She even told friends, acquaintances, and anyone else who would listen, about her plan.
Former presidential candidate John Edwards fell right into Hunter’s trap when she waited for him outside his hotel one night, and came onto him with the line “You’re so hot.”
To accomplish her goal, Hunter , who has broken her silence with an exclusive interview in the current issue of GQ magazine, persuaded Edwards to hire her as his campaign videographer, initiated an affair with him, and eventually became pregnant with Edwards’ child.
Her machinations included the making of a sex tape, which is currently the central focus of a court case, and the extracting of a promise from Edwards to marry her in a rooftop ceremony after Elizabeth dies.
Edwards was finally forced to admit paternity of Rielle’s daughter -- 2 years after the fact – only because of the recent publication of a tell-all book by Andrew Young, the aide he convinced to lie about being the father of Rielle’s child.
Edwards affair with Rielle Hunter, led to his exposure as a consummate liar, and a callous man who had no qualms about cheating on a terminally ill, cancer-stricken wife, or drawing a loyal, trusted aide and his family into an elaborate scheme of lies and subterfuge to cover his tracks, then leaving him high and dry.
As a result of the events surrounding his extramarital affair with Hunter, John Edwards’ political career has been totally destroyed. The man who was once a presidential candidate probably couldn’t even get elected as a dogcatcher now.
Elizabeth Edwards, who stood by her husband until his lies and disrespect became too blatant for her to gloss over, excuse or ignore, has finally filed for divorce.
As for Hunter, whether she ends up bagging herself a famous husband or not, she has gained a luxury home, and 18 years worth of hefty child support payments from the lover whose life and political career she destroyed.
Maria Belen-Chapur
Argentinean Maria Belen-Chapur began a friendly e-mail correspondence with South Carolina governor Mark Sanford which lasted 8 years, becoming an emotional affair, and eventually progressing to a year-long sexual affair.
A male friend of Belen-Chapur gained access to her computer, and sent copies of the e-mail exchange between Sanford and Maria to the largest newspaper in South Carolina.
The e-mails were published after Sanford’s 6-day disappearance last year was revealed to have been a secret trip to visit his Argentinean mistress, rather than a hike along the Appalachian Trail as he’d led his staff to believe.
Sanford ended up making a fool of himself holding tearful and highly embarrassing press conferences proclaiming Maria to be his soul mate.
His affair with Maria caused him to narrowly escaped impeachment, and killed his chances of being a future presidential candidate.
His wife Jenny, publicly indicated her willingness to forgive Sanford if he sever all ties with his mistress. So great was Maria’s hold on Sanford, that he found it impossible to give her up. So Jenny Sanford filed for, and was recently granted a divorce.

Brooke Hundley
When Steve Phillips, an ESPN sports analyst terminated his brief affair (3 sexual encounters) with Brooke Hundley, he had no idea what was in store. The 22-year old production assistant, also employed by ESPN, carefully plotted and executed her revenge. Impersonating a classmate of Phillips’ 16 year old son, Hundley contacted him through Facebook, and pumped him for information about the family’s schedules, the vehicles they drove, and intimate details about his parent’s life.
Hundley even hired someone from Craig’s list to make harassing calls to Phillips wife in her behalf.
She then wrote and delivered a sexually graphic letter to Phillips’ wife which she attempted to personally deliver to the Phillips home, causing property damage in her efforts to get away when Marni Phillips caught her there and called 911. The story of this sex scandal spread like wildfire with copies of Hundley’s graphic letter, and copies of the police reports containing details of Hundley’s harassment appearing all over the Internet, causing major embarrassment to everyone involved.
Brooke Hundley is a prime example of how a disgruntled and out of control mistress can totally destroy her lover’s life.

Not only did Hundley traumatize Phillips wife and 16 year old son, she cost Philips the respect of his colleagues in the industry, his job at ESPN, and his marriage.
Both Phillips and Hundley were fired from ESPN. Steve Phillips checked into an Arizona rehab for treatment of sex addiction. And Phillips’ wife, Marni filed for divorce.

As you can see, there are a multitude of ways a cheating man’s mistress can ruin his life.
That’s why I recommend that a cheating man always check his mistress out.
His reputation, his career, his marriage, his health, the safety and well-being of his family, his bank account, even his life may be at stake.
Mistresses usually have ulterior motives and if they don’t get what they want, (and sometimes, even when they do) there’s usually hell to pay.
And usually, it’s the cheating man who has the most to lose.
