Alabama state troopers were called to the scene of an accident in which a vehicle struck a horse and rider. The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 5 on Lawrence Cove Road [west of Livingston Drive] in Morgan County, Alabama. The accident location is not far outside of Eva.
The state troopers remained at the scene conducting their preliminary investigation, taking measurements and talking to potential witnesses and rerouting traffic around the scene. Cleanup continued until after 10:00 p.m.
At this time, troopers are continuing their investigation into the accident.
Not much information has been released about the accident at this time including names and conditions of rider, driver or horse. WHNT was at the scene and wanted to get more information.
About all that is known today is that the rider was a female. She was flown to Huntsville Hospital due to her injuries.
