Rideau View to host Crohn's and Colitis fundraiser event on June 23

The Crohn’s and Colitis Guts and Glory Golf Classic checks in at Rideau View Golf Club on June 23.

Registration for the third annual event in support of Crohn’s and Colitis Canada begins at 11 a.m. Play gets going with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. when honourary chair Kyle Turris of the Ottawa Senators, golfers from local businesses and loyal supporters tee it up at Rideau View.

Funds raised through the tournament will go to research efforts to fund cures and better treatments for children and adults living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

The players will have the opportunity to shoot 18-holes of golf on a classic old style course, which is also the home club of local PGA tour player Brad Fritsch.

Rideau View features has six sets of tees, playing from 4,970 yards to 7,000 yards, that ensure the course is playable for all levels of golfers.

Rideau View Golf Club is located at 6044 Rideau Valley Dr. North, Manotick.
