Ride in Wangan tunnel with Mr. Chiba

The JDM experience is not complete until you witness Mr. Chiba ride in the Wangan tunnel. At speeds approaching 200 mph, the Mazda RX-7 along with Mr. Cheba rips through at amazing speed! Mr. Chiba is famous in Japan for high speed Wangan tuning of JDM vehicles. He has also appeared with Smoky Nagata in several high speed videos. Mr. Chiba and Smoky Nagata are considered the best of the Wangan.

The Wangan style high speed street racing is catching on quickly amongst tuner enthusiasts around the world. Consider Wangan as the Autobahn of the East for high speed street racers such as Midnight club, and key figures Smoky and Mr. Chiba lead the way in video footage. Wangan domination is tempting because with high speed comes respect of the tuner, driver, vehicle and the Wangan racing culture as a whole.

However, with high speed comes danger. The anime series "Wangan Midnight" is a great representation of Wangan lifestyle and a forewarning to those that tempt fate. Wangan vehicles are the most respected vehicles of the JDM crowd because of the unbelievable high speed racing. Wangan style racing takes excellent mechanical preparation to ensure the vehicle won't fall apart at high speeds. It takes a very long time to tune a vehicle for Wangan top speed, and it is not easy. This is the challenge of Wangan; who can have the fastest top speed? Check out this following clip of a RX7 riding through Wangan tunnel. It used to be the Mr. Chiba run, but the youtube user removed the video. Doh! This is better actually.
