Ride the Aeroballoon at Houston's Discovery Green

There is still time to take advantage of a limited opportunity at Discovery Green. Administaff has sponsored tethered balloon rides by AeroBallon . The silent and pollution free ride fits in well with the green theme of Houston's park and will take up to 17 visitors 35 stories into to the air to enjoy the view.

Passengers of the helium filled balloon must be at least 5 years old and at least 40 inches tall.  This rare attraction currently available in only 2 cities is scheduled to be in the park through the month of February but will not operate in certain weather conditions.

The $20 ticket price ($15 for kids under 13) benefits the park and its programs. Thrifty families can save $5 a ticket by taking their flight during off-peak times. For more information check the Discovery Green website.

Its so great to see when a bunch of balloons come to a city. I can't imagine a "silent" balloon. How do they get them to come down?

I've seen the balloon at the park, and it looks like fun! Terrifying, but fun.

That is so great, Brenda! I did not know we had this event coming to town. It is relatively affordable (for a family of 4) compared to what I would think something of this caliber would cost. I appreciate the heads up!! I will be going. ~Tanya
