Ride Along Wins at Box Office

Ride Along arrived in first place at the weekend box office. The comedy featuring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube debuted with $41.2 million the opening weekend. The strong opening for Ride Along marks the biggest opening for a film released during the Martin Luther King holiday.

Ride Along follows Ben (Kevin Hart), who's ready to propose to his girlfriend Angela (Tika Sumpter), but needs the approval of her detective brother, James (Ice Cube). Ben goes on a 24hr patrol around Atlanta with James to prove himself worthy.

Hart broke out in 2011 with his concert Laugh at My Pain. Last year, he did the highest comedy film concert which earned $32 million. In his spare time, Hart produces and stars in his BET reality show, Real Husbands of Hollywood.

Ride Along has received great movie reviews and people that saw the movie gave the movie an A grade. Ride Along is the first movie which Hart has a leading role. Hart is Hollywood's next rising star.
