‘Ride Along’ surpasses $100 million mark

Kevin Hart has proven once again he has the magic touch at the box office. The comedian’s action comedy “Ride Along” co-starring rap legend Ice Cube surpassed the $100 million mark after grossing more than $9 million this past weekend. The film which had been in the top spot at theaters the previous three weeks has so far grossed over $105 million domestically according to Box Office Mojo.

Ride Along stars Hart as a wanna-be cop who tries to impress his girlfriend’s brother by agreeing to go on a ride along with the seasoned detective. The movie which is the second release for the funnyman in the last two months debuted in theaters nationwide on January 17.

Hart was previously seen in “Grudge Match” with Sylvester Stallone and Robert DeNiro back in December. He will next star in “About Last Night” with Regina Hall, Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant which lands in theaters on Valentine’s Day.
