It was a very slow weekend over the box office, with only one movie being able to hit double digits. Ride Along was to remain in the top spot for the 3rd straight week with an estimated $12.3 million. The movie has been doing well at the box office and should be able to cross over the $100-million threshold in the next week or two.

That Awkward Moment had a small opening with only an estimated $9 million in it’s first week, but the bright side is that it already beat out it’s $8 million budget, so it can only go up from here.

The re-release sing-a-long version of Frozen helped it bring in an estimated $9.3 million. The movie has surpassed all expectations and is quickly becoming a fan overall favorite.

The Nut Job and Lone Survivor round out the top with an estimated $7.6 million and $7.1 million respectively.

February has a long list of movies coming out that should shake up the box office, starting with this week. Vampire Academy will roll the dice on not only vampires but young adult book adaptation. But the big movie coming out is The Lego Movie and this movie should surely be the top movie of next week.
