It’s time to ride, and it’s always better to do it for someone else. This year, Equinox is holding it’s 4th annual Cycle for Survival in Chicago! Join others on February 9, 2013 at Equinox The Loop, to fight rare cancers by registering to ride your bikes with friends and family. It’s a national indoor cycling event that is owned and operated by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). MSKCC and Equinox have raised more than $18 million for research into rare cancers such as sarcoma, pancreatic and ovarian cancers.
For this event, teams register for a four-hour shift, with a maximum of eight riders per bike. Teams may register multiple bikes as well. Included in this event are complimentary fitness classes, massages and children’s activities.
Equinox The Loop is located at: 200 W. Monroe St. Chicago, IL 60606.
The four-hour bike shifts for Saturday, February 9, 2013 are: 8am-noon and 1pm-5pm.
Cycle for Survival is a great way to raise money for a good cause while getting in a great workout. Raising money for research into rare cancers is essential because half of all people with cancer suffer from a rare form of the disease. However, research is often underfunded, which leaves patients with limited treatment options. Within six months of each Cycle for Survival event, every dollar raised is distributed to a MSKCC research initiative. The event is February 9, 2013, so hurry and register for this high-energy, national indoor team cycling event!
