According to the Sochi 2014 website, Mike Riddle of Sherwood Park, Alberta has won the silver medal in men's halfpipe skiing at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

Riddle also continued Canada's excellence in freestyle skiing at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Out of Canada's 17 medals to date in Sochi, seven have come in freestyle skiing events.

Team Canada now sits in fifth place in the overall medal count. They have four gold medals, nine silver medals and four bronze medals. Netherlands and the United States have 20 medals each, followed by Russia at 19 medals and Norway at 18 medals.
