Ricky Gervais is headed to the Windy City, with three live shows at the Chicago Theatre on September 29 and 30, and October 1.  The September 30 and October 1 shows will be filmed for HBO.

The Chicago Theatre's Twitter feed reports that a ticket presale will start tomorrow.  At that time, tickets will be available here (promotion code is HCENGLAND).  Ticket prices range from $39.50 to $50.

Award-winning actor, comedian and writer Gervais is best known for creating the hit BBC shows Extras and The Office, the latter of which was successfully adapted for NBC.  This year, he hosted the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

A fun fact from the Chicago Theatre: in his youth, Gervais worked as a promoter for a Queen tribute band.
