Rickie Jones returns to the NHRA Pro Stock ranks in 2013, committing to a 10-race schedule with backing from Mark Stockseth and in partnership with Elite Performance.
“I’m really excited about this deal,” said Jones on NHRA.com. “I’m looking forward to getting back to NHRA Pro Stock. I drove for Richard (Freeman) at a few races last year, and it was great to see our fans again. Pro Stock is an exciting and tough class. It’s one of the most prestigious classes in all of drag racing, so to be able to compete there again is an honor.”
Jones competed in the American Drag Racing League (ADRL) in 2012, earning his first trip to the winner’s circle in the Pro Nitrous category with backing from Summit Racing Equipment. Summit will continue as an associated sponsor with Jones.
Jones’ limited schedule begins at the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida, March 14th through 17th.
