This Thursday, December 5, rocker, actor, and former darling of daytime Rick Springfield (Noah, ‘General Hospital) hits the stage at the Soundboard at Detroit’s Motor City Casino.

Springfield brings a new vibe this time around, as he will perform solo while incorporating songs and stories. His ‘Stripped Down’ tour is much different than what fans have experienced in the past.

‘It's very different from the electric band tour: more laid back, a different song list and hopefully interesting or funny moments,’ Springfield told AM New York’s HAL BIENSTOCK.

On his hugely popular song ‘Jessie’s Girl,’ Springfield said,

‘I'm glad to have written it and watch the place it seems to have taken in the pop world. It does overshadow other stuff to a degree, but it's still cool. I do like playing it. It's like trotting out your cutest child and watching your uncles and aunts ohhhh and awww over him/her.’

Springfield also spoke with AM New York about his upcoming novel, ‘Magnificent Vibration,’ calling the experience ‘Awesome. Brilliant. Mind-numbingly cool....'
