Rick Springfield was arrested, reported E! Online, March 8. The rock artist, who received three years’ probation for a DUI he received back in Aug. 2012, was arrested at his Los Angeles home on a bench warrant issued Wednesday for missing a court date pertaining to the DUI. However, the "Jessie's Girl" singer phoned his wife. She later brought in the required paperwork, and he was released.
Rick posted on his Facebook page, "My home away from home. Lost hills sheriff station. Arrested this am on a bench warrant. I didn't know that I was supposed appear in court a few weeks ago. It was to do with the old DUI charge and it's been cleared up and i am free to go. Thought I might miss the gig [Eagle Mountain Casino, Porterville, Calif.] tonite but I will be there and we will celebrate together. Life is not boring. XOXO."
The 63-year-old Springfield published a memoir "Late, Late at Night: A Memoir," in 2010. Rolling Stone listed it as one of "The 25 Greatest Rock Memoirs of All Time."
