On March 8, Rick Springfield was arrested in his Los Angeles home, according to TMZ.
The singer and actor had just been seen performing his anthem called "Jessie's Girl" on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday and by Friday, much to his dismay, he was facing the law.
Springfield's arrest came about due to a bench warrant that had been issued because he didn't show up in court regarding a DUI case in which he was involved. TMZ said that once Rick reached his lawyer, the warrant was recalled and Springfield was sprung from the slammer.
Apparently, Rick didn't realize a court appearance was necessary but the court had wanted him to show up last month to clear up a matter that had the veteran performer of "General Hospital" fame owing some $1,555 in fines.
Meanwhile, Rick Springfield was looking fine while singing "Jesse's Girl" with Dave Grohl on Ellen's show on March 7. The unlikely duo got together for a documentary called "Sound City" that Grohl has been working on and that debuted at Sundance.
Since that particular pairing, Rick and Dave have been making beautiful music together, including their new take on Springfield's classic hit from back in the 1980s.
