UPDATE: RICK SANTORUM CANCELS SUNDAY EVENTS TO STAY WITH DAUGHTER BELLA IN HOSPITAL
Republican candidate for president and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and his wife Karen Santorum have admitted their 3-year-old daughter Isabella (Bella) into the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. The child has been seriously ill with a genetic disorder which is known as Trisomy 18.
According to Santorum’s campaign, the presidential candidate has cancelled his campaigning schedule for Sunday morning but will return to the Florida campaign trail as soon as possible. Santorum says he will return to Florida by 2:00PM on Sunday to attend a Sarasota rally and only miss morning plans which included attending a Miami church.
Santorum only speaks of his daughter's serious medical condition when he's talking about President Barack Obama's national health plan which, according to Santorum, would be devistating to his daughter and patients like her.
No other information regarding Bella's current condition is known at this time.
