Rick Santorum projected to win Minnesota caucus

Rick Santorum is projected to win the non-binding Minnesota presidential caucus, according to the Associated Press. He is also projected to win Tuesday's Missouri caucus and is currently leading the Colorado contest.

Santorum won the Iowa caucus by only a few votes and rival Mitt Romney won contests in New Hampshire, Florida and Nevada. Newt Gingrich won the South Carolina primary and Ron Paul has yet to win a presidential primary or caucus.

Romney was also leading the delegate count before Tuesday's results. He had 101 delegates, followed by Gingrich with 32. Santorum had won 17 and Ron Paul nine. It requires 1,144 delegates to win the Republican presidential nomination.

While wins in Tuesday's Minnesota and Missouri caucuses won't directly lead to winning delegates, the wins are likely to deal a blow to Romney's hopes for an early end to the Republican primary race.
