On January 28, Rapper Rick Ross, birth name, William Leonard Roberts II, crashed his silver Rolls Royce into a Fort Lauderdale, Florida apartment building when he heard gunfire. The gunfire was intended for Ross. His girlfriend, Shateria L. Moragne-el, was also in the vehicle with Ross. Both escaped the gunfire unharmed.
According to WSVN, police gathered dozens of bullet casings from Las Olas Boulevard and Northeast 15th Avenue. The shooters left the scene after shooting at Ross. Security cameras were filming across the street in a different building. No suspect has been named. Witnesses of the drive by shooting report that Ross was out celebrating his birthday at the restaurant The Floridian according to local news WSVN.
