The Boss is back promoting Maybach Music Group's compilation album, Self Made Vol. 3. He stopped by for an in depth interview with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds for their Juan Epstein podcast. The interview found Rozay speaking on a number of topics including his early days in the game, before the Def Jam signing, working on his latest offering, Self Made Vol. 3, and much more.
They travel back in time as Ross describes when he was “Chill Will” as a child. Ross broke down when he first started getting serious with music around 18 years old and first time in the studio around the time when Biggie and Tupac was on the radio. The MMG head honcho gets into great detail about Miami hip-hop scene when he was growing up and when he first started rapping. The interview is 40+ minutes long and jam packed with gems such as meeting Kanye way back in the day.
Even Peter Rosenberg spoke about the interview, saying that “Arguably the most in depth Ross interview to date. Many highlights here, but my personal favorite is Ross’ story about meeting Kanye back when he “had cyphers with Yeezy before his mouth wired”. Thank you Ross! Self Made 3 in stores now!”.
