According to multiple sources superstar rap artist Rick Ross was the target of an alleged drive by shooting in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The alleged shooting occurred in the morning of Monday January 28, 2013. Ross whose real name is William Roberts was driving his Rolls Royce when it was hit by almost two dozen rounds of gunfire. Ross crashed his car into a building while trying to evade the gunfire. Ross and his passenger were unharmed in the incident. Police are still looking for suspects.
There are multiple rumors that Ross was apparently receiving threats from the Black Disciples gang. The Black Disciples have allegedly threatened Ross via You Tube over his references to Larry Hoover on his smash single "B.M.F."
