Cooler, drier weather has arrived in Huntsville for the last week of July, 2014. Along with it, we have a wide assortment of events this week, from a car show to radio personalities Rick and Bubba being on tour here in Huntsville. Here is a look at your week ahead here in Huntsville for July 27 through August 2, 2014.
RICK AND BUBBA COMES TO HUNTSVILLE
Rick and Bubba finish their 20th anniversary tour on August 1st here in Huntsville. The tour, called the "We Ain't Never Been Nowhere" tour, comes to the VBC Concert Hall on Friday, August 1, at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $17 to $42.
OTHER EVENTS HAPPENING THIS WEEK
FIRST FRIDAY will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1st. The event will be held in Downtown Florence and will be free to the public.
FIRST SATURDAY will be held from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2cd. The event will be held in Downtown Rogersville and will be free to the public.
AND SO IT GOES is a romantic comedy starring Michael Keaton and Diane Keaton. The movie, playing at local theatres, runs for 93 minutes and is rated PG13 for strong language and substance abuse.
CONCERTS IN THE PARK are held every Monday during the summer at Big Spring International Park in Huntsville. The concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and are free to the public.
ANNUAL GALLERY TOUR will be held for the 22cd year here in Huntsville. The tour begins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, at Lowe Mill and covers other art galleries, also.
CAR SHOW AND SKATING will be held at Skate Odyssey on South Memorial Parkway in Huntsville. The event will be on Saturday, August 2, from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
MADISON COUNTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Gurley will have a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Sunday, August 3, at 3:00 p.m. for their newly constructed school building. The school is located on Wood Street in Downtown Gurley.
CHASE ANIMAL HOSPITAL will have a celebration for their 25th anniversary of business this Friday, August 2. The celebration will be at their U.S. Highway 72 location from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
