Photos of the people, places and spaces of Battery Park are re-contextualized in “New Relics for the Old Acrimony,” curated by the founder of Bprva, Spencer L. Turner, at 12 12 Gallery.

The installation of re-contextualized digital imagery “explores urban development filtered through the lenses of geography, history, romanticism and subjective experience,” according to a press release from the gallery.

Proceeds from sales of works in the exhibit will go to Friends of Battery Park, a group of residents working together to improve the quality of life for residents in the neighborhood.

“New Relics for the Old Acrimony” will be on view through Sunday, March 9.

12 12 Gallery is located at 0 East 4th Street #39, and can be reached at 804/301-6971. Gallery hours are Friday-Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
