Richmond Beer Week: November 6th

Saturday is day two of Richmond Beer Week.  Here's a look at what's on tap...

Legend Brewery Tour and Brewing Class- Richmond's own Legend Brewery will be conducting tours between 1 and 4 pm.  If you have the afternoon open, take the opportunity to support your local brewery and learn more about the process that goes into making your favorite pint of Legend.

Carytown/Fan Walking Tour- A walking tour of The Fan and Carytown with three stops, first at Joe's Inn from 3-5:15 featuring Blue Mountain beers.  The second stop will be at Racine from 5:30-6:30 and feature a cask of dry-hopped Snake Dog IPA from the Flying Dog brewery.  The tour will end at NY Deli where two Dogfish Head beers will be on tap, the 60 Minute IPA and Indian Brown Ale.  Representatives from each brewery will be on hand to answer questions.  Visit all locations or come when you can.

Capital Ale House- Each location will have a different event running Saturday evening.  Innsbrook will be serving a new, limited release from Duvel called Triple Hop.  The Midlothian location will be hosting Brooklyn Brewery Night.  Junior Acevedo will be sampling beers from the Brooklyn lineup and limited amounts of Brooklyn glassware will also be available.  Finally, the downtown Ale House will be hosting Flying Dog Brewery Night.  Flying Dog's Heather Donahue will be on hand to sample Flying Dog beers, including a new Single Hop Simcoe and Barrel Aged Gonzo Porter.

So if you're looking for something to do with your Saturday, why not consider any or all of these spectacular beer events?  What better way to spend your Saturday than to kick it off with a pint of Legend and cap it with a taste of some of the finest Belgian ales around?
