Richie Sambora will be performing three very special live performances in celebration of the Les Paul's legacy. Richie Sambora Honors Les Paul will take place July 22nd (one performance) & July 23rd (two performances) at The Iridium. The Iridium is the famed club where Paul performed weekly for 12 years until his passing in 2009.
Tickets for the July 22nd show go on sale June 12th. Tickets for the Front and Center live taping on July 23rd go on sale June 13th. VIP and standard packages will be available.
Sambora is best known for his 30 year music career as solo artist and as a member of the Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum band Bon Jovi.Richie has sold over 130 million albums worldwide and has co-written over 20 Top 40 hits and 11 Top 10 hits, including “Livin’ On A Prayer,” “You Give Love A Bad Name” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.” He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Sambora is continuously lending his talents and supporting important causes and organizations such as the Hurricane Sandy relief effort affecting his home state of New Jersey,issues regarding the environment, homelessness, illness, hunger and music education.
Sambora last weekend surprised the crowd with an appearance during the Zac Brown Band’s set at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. They performed the hit song “Wanted Dead or Alive" and receives rave reviews over the performance.
Sambora is currently in Europe where he will be performing live in concert for a 3 week stay starting June 13th in London.
The July 23rd show will be recorded and will air this fall on Public Television’s Front and Center. All merchandise will benefit The Les Paul Foundation. The foundation was formed by Paul himself to encourage young people to pursue and support different forms of music. Recent grants to the foundation have including funding to multiple music education programs and to museums that tell the Les Paul story.
