Longtime Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora joined Stevie Wonder for an unforgettable performance of “Silent Night” at the 82nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sambora expressed the joy he felt playing with the living legend that is Stevie Wonder. Sambora said, “It is almost beyond words. He was the guy that I emulated when I was a boy, and he taught me how to sing. It was an honor to meet your teacher. The first thing I did was whisper in his ear, 'I’m sure you get this a lot, but you were my inspiration as a singer.'”
Sambora also performed his own set at the Hollywood Christmas Parade, which included the classic Bon Jovi track “Livin' on a Prayer” and one of his personal favorite's Bill Wither's iconic “Lean On Me.” Other performers on this star-studded lineup included LeAnn Rimes, Billy Ray Cyrus, the Goo Goo Dolls and many more.
Laura McKenzie and Erik Estrada hosted the parade, which will be televised on the Hallmark Movie Channel on Dec 20 at 5pm ET/PT. Check out their website for more information about this holiday tradition and head over to richiesambora.com for the latest news about the legendary guitarist.
