Richard Tyson (Something About Mary) cast in "The Sparrows" TV series

Nancy Criss, Director of the new Family-Inspirational TV series, The Sparrows, has announced the attachment of Richard Tyson to the cast as the Reverend Davis.

Richard is best known for his roles in Three O'Clock High, Kindergarten Cop (opposite Arnold Schwartzenegger) and Two Moon Junction. He was also the star of his own TV show, Hardball, and CSI: New York. Some of Richard's other films include, Black Hawk Down, Naked Run, and the horror flick, Big Bad Wolf. Richard has acted alongside some of the greatest actors in the industry, Orlando Bloom, Ben Stiller, Charleton Heston and John Travolta, to name a few.

The Sparrows is an inspirational TV series set in modern-day Arizona. It has the feel of 7th Heaven, The Walton's and Little House on the Prairie.

The story centers around the Sparrow family, Mike and his two daughters, Emily and Anjela, who have recently endured a terrible tragedy. Now they must get on with life by relocating to Arizona, to Mike's estranged father's ranch. The family works through their grief, with many ups and downs, heartache and joy. And, just like most families going through these hardships, they are on the ever-widening path toward Love.

A Nandar Entertainment production, the series is being written by Kenneth J. Lemm and Jane L. Fitzpatrick, with Director, Nancy Criss and Executive Producer, R. Glenn Brannan. Cast members include: Christopher Atkins, Robert Miano, MacKenzie Phillips, Richard Tyson, Nichol Criss, Chalet Lizette Brannan, Mandalynn Carlson, Michael Emery, and Whispering Raven as the horse whisperer.
