Richard Smallwood, one of the most legendary gospel artists of all time is getting ready for "Anthology," his first live recording in five years. The recording will take place Saturday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and is a free event.

It has been 13 years since the maestro last recorded live in the Washington, DC. when he recorded "Persuaded: Live in D.C." album. The new recording, "Anthology" promises to be another phenomenal project.

As the name indicates, the Richard Smallwood with Vision album will be a compilation of new music as well as an anthology of the gospel great's musical accomplishments. Long-time fans should be delighted to discover that R&B great and original Smallwood Singer, Angela Winbush and Dottie Jones of The Smallwood Singers will make guest appearances. Long-time collaborator Steven Ford returns for producr duties.

The live recording caps off a year of accolades for Richard Smallwood as the award-winning artist was celebrated across the country. Those accolades including being honored during the BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards and BET’s Celebration of Gospel for his unparralleled musicianship and contributions to gospel music.

"Anthology" is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2015.
