Theatre Chat Not So Black and White with Host Richard E. Waits catches up with "Motown" Star N'Kenge in the boudoir for some Holiday Magic. Today N'Kenge shared her upcoming Holiday Concerts, Opera news and gossip on her new EP release.
N'Kenge is back by popular demand at The Triad Theater 72. She will revive her acclaimed Holiday Magic show, with new guest Tony Award nominee Charl Brown (Motown, Jersey Boys, Sister Act), Broadway veteran Saycon Sengbloh (Motown, Wicked, Fela, Hair), Broadway's own Jamal Story (Motown, The Color Purple), Santa's helpers Vocalist Samantha Blain and Brittany Duck, and a full band under the direction of Benet Braun.
N'kenge is currently appearing as Mary Wells in BroadwayGlobal's musical of the year Motown. She made her Broadway debut in Sondheim on Sondheim, West End debut in The Genius of Ray Charles. Her Opera appearances include Verismo Opera, Virgina Opera, Israel Opera and New York City Opera, solo concert appearances at Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center. N'Kenge was vocally trained at The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music.
