Rich Peverley to leave Finland

The exodus of locked-out NHL players leaving their temporary European posts and coming home--despite the fact that the lockout has not been resolved yet--continues. Now Rich Peverley of the Boston Bruins is planning to leave his Finnish league team, JYP Jyvaskyla.

According to Finnish sportswriter Matias Strozyk, Peverley's last game with JYP will be on Jan. 5 against SaiPa Lappeenranta. After that, he will return to North America to wait out the lockout.

In 28 games played with JYP, Peverley has eight goals and 13 assists to his name.

Peverley is only the most recent member of the Bruins to leave Europe. Tuukka Rask, Andrew Ference, Patrice Bergeron and Tyler Seguin have all returned to this side of the Atlantic Ocean recently. David Krejci's contract with HC Pardubice recently expired, but he's staying in the Czech Republic for now.
