A rice recall has been issued for Uncle Ben's infused rice after reports of flushing and rashes came from people who ate the products. This recall does not include any of the Uncle Ben's products that are found in supermarkets. The recall products are the large bags of wholesale products that were shipped to institutions, such as schools, according to CNN News on Feb. 10.

While the Uncle Ben's infused rice was only sold to wholesale distributors in five and twenty five pound bags, the company has learned that some of these products were sold online and at some wholesale stores. For that reason they have issued a public recall of infused rice products.

Mars Food Services received reports from three Houston schools that after students developed rashes and flushing after eating the Uncle Ben's Mexican Flavor Infused Rice product.

Uncle Ben Infused rice products in the recall are:

Roasted chicken

Garlic and butter varieties

The company is working closely with the FDA and it is in the process of collecting the recalled products from the various places they was distributed.
